BEng, MBA, CD, PCCCoaching and teaching yoga are her passions. Combining the two into unique workshops and training programs has been life-changing.
Barb has been coaching since 2000. In 2008, she co-developed, and started teaching, a coach training program for leaders. In 2011, she became a certified mentor coach. In 2014, she published a book called Become a Coach Leader – One Conversation at a Time. This book is a culmination of best practices that Barb learned and implemented over the past 14 years as a coach and coach trainer.
In 2014, Barb developed a Body-Mind-Spirit Coaching program which she has been teaching in-person and online. She has been to India six times to learn about yoga and bring people on retreats to share my love of yoga and mindfulness. Through her travels, she attained the YTT500 hour Yoga Alliance accreditation in 2009. She is also a master certified NLP practitioner and hypnosis practitioner.
Barb has been a proud Board member of the Helping Hands for India charity since it was formed in 2009. Together they have sponsored many children in India to go to school who otherwise would not have had that opportunity. In 2012, they built the Sansar Gyaan Pathshala school -- a free school in Northern India, where which more than 250 children are currently enrolled.
Barb is passionate about teaching people how to heal both physical and mental health issues. She wants to work with individuals and teams who are ready be honest with themselves and move to the next level. She enjoys helping people learn how to connect with themselves and others in deeper ways so they can develop more satisfying relationships. Barb strongly believe that we all need to know how to read our own, and others, body language and energy more effectively. We need to trust, and act on, our intuition. We also need to care about, and respect, ourselves and others.
Barb will help you get clear on who you are, who you want to be, and how to get there. In the process, you will learn how to engage in the drama-free conversations you need to have, how to set and enforce boundaries and how to ask for what you need.
Leadership & Executive CoachingDo you want to increase your confidence as a leader? Improve your company's ability to connect with and move towards the organization’s vision? How about increasing task completion and productivity? All of this is possible--and more.
The return on investment from coaching is often measured at 500-700%. In a study published in the Manchester Review entitled Maximizing the Impact of Executive Coaching: Behavioural Change, Organizational Outcomes, and Return on Investment, executives cited the following tangible and intangible key benefits of coaching.
Body-Mind-Spirit CoachingCoaches do not offer advice. We ask masterful questions that help you get clear on who you are, what you want and the best approach to get you there. We encourage you to re-evaluate your beliefs and values, and shake up old ways of thinking.
You will learn how to incorporate messages from your body, intuition and energy systems in your analysis and decision making processes. You can also learn how to invite spirituality into your day-to-day life.
